Over the next few months, we will begin the third major phase of construction: re-opening the Turnpike lanes and shifting to overnight construction to build the structural deck. We will work first over the MBTA tracks in November and then over the Turnpike starting in December. This will include overnight rolling roadblocks (brief controlled slowdowns on the highway for safe overhead work). Like we did at the beginning of construction, look for dedicated outreach as these dates get closer.
Near the end of the year, you’ll also start seeing the building cores (elevator shafts) growing up from the foundation within the site. This is the key first step for vertical construction of the buildings themselves.
